This is the turtle crew. They crawl up the bank. We hand them food.
They actually take food right from your fingers. It makes me a little nervous though. They take a piece of dog food or cat food right from your fingers, but then they crush it between their jaws in an ominous way. When they approach, sometimes they seem to head for toes instead of the handful of food. I have to confess that in those instances, I drop a pile of food in their path and move my toes out of the way.
