Since we're talking about electric appliances.

 

We’ve settled on an electric griller.  Most don’t get hot enough to grill a steak.  This one has a “Sear” setting to give a blast from both sides, then it cooks really fast (just a few minutes).  (Those aren’t steaks in the pictures; they’re chops.)  (That’s not our yard at Gulf Waters in the background.  It’s our yard at Brazos Bend when we were there.)
