As
I recall, the standard tow is 3,000 feet, then the sailplane drops the line and
peels off on its own to search for thermals,
or a standing wave off the foothills, to see
how long it can stay up. Fun times, getting glider rides from John B all
those years ago.
And
goslings. At this time of year, there are goslings.
