Hump Day already. The week is almost over!
The motorhome is at a shop in Mission getting a couple minor repairs and a body and paint estimate for the damage I did when I sank it in the mud last winter. We’ll get it back by the end of the week and drive to San Antonio on Sunday, then back to Corpus on Tuesday for a Wednesday appointment with Judy’s doctor. They’ll cut the cast off Judy’s arm and we’ll be good to go back home to Edinburg and continue the rehab. (I think her rehab is going to be doing all the cooking, cleaning, dishes, gardening, folding clothes, and taking out the trash!)
We’ll see how that goes…
Got the kingfisher trifecta recently. All three North American kingfishers at the same spot on the same visit. That doesn’t happen often.
Scored big time today. The fall migration has started heating up. The spring migration is concentrated, with all the birds headed north in a crazy blur. The fall migration, with all the birds headed back down south is different. It’s a little more relaxed and spread out. I can wait here and try to catch some of the migrants I missed on the way up. Today I picked up the Kentucky warbler and the Mourning warbler at the Frontera Audubon thicket in Weslaco. A good day.
