…at the Chart Room in Crescent City, California.
We crossed the coastal range; I think at this point it’s actually the southern end of the Cascades; a very winding two-lane for a big rig; a lot of driving for a hundred miles.
We’re at the Crescent City/Redwoods KOA at the northwestern tip of California.
…nestled up against a redwood forest. The trees are big even though the biggest trees are long gone. Remnants remain of the earlier logging.
…with tent sites and camping cabins strategically scattered throughout.
This is no normal KOA. This is a destination.
