We were going to leave Colorado on Sept 17th and head south back to Texas, or west to Parker, AZ to see Judy’s sister Sue. We decided to stay and do the eye surgery here instead. We scheduled it for the 26th. Cataract surgery requires follow-up visits the next day, week, and month; so we’ll be here through about the end of October.
It’s September and the summer heat has broken. The highs in the 90s seem to be gone. Now we’re in the 80s. It’s cooler at night. Sometimes we have to wear jackets to have morning coffee outside instead of putting the awning out for shade.
Comfortable days. Cool nights for sleeping. The trees will turn to their fall colors while we’re here; in fact some have started already. September *is* a great month to be here. So is October.
