Sunday

Slept in. Coffee on the lower patio by the pond. Drove off the island to Flour Bluff for an errand. Drove the rest of the way around Corpus Christi Bay. Past the big houses along Ocean Drive. Past the T Heads in the marina. Over the big bridge to Portland. Past Corpus Christi Beach. Stopped at Indian point park. Got a long billed curlew. On to the Greenhouse in Ingleside say hi to Forrest and pick up a new Iguana for the yard. Back through Aransas Pass, across Hog Island, to the ferry to Mustang Island. A late lunch in Port Aransas. A new pot for the palm tree fountain. Home in time to watch the Broncos win. Cross the dunes next to the boardwalk which still needs to be repaired. That was not as difficult as I expected. A walk on the beach. Got a piping plover and a flock of red knots. Back through the dunes. Didn’t get bit by a rattlesnake. 85 degrees. 70 percent humidity. 15mph wind. Never needed to turn on the air conditioning. Dinner. Dexter. And we’re done.
