Abilene State Park

A US Highway day. No freeways. Southeast on US 287. Amarillo, Goodnight, Memphis. South on US 83 at Childress. Paducah, Guthrie and Hamlin. Though Abilene. Now we’re on the eastern half of the Texas map. Across Interstate 20, through Buffalo Gap, to Abilene State Park.

Nice place. Not too birdy, but we haven’t been any place birdy lately.

It must be that late September early October aren’t very birdy times in Texas.
