But
it’s not. It’s called a carpenter bee.
It’s
a pollinator, but not always. If the tubular flower it too deep, it can’t
get far enough in to get to the good stuff, so it will go to the base of the
bloom, chew a small hole in it and “rob” the nectar that way. It’s
“robbing”, because when it does that, it doesn’t do any pollination.
