We went to Corpus on Wednesday for Judy’s final hand doctor appointment. Both wrists and thumbs have been done. She is right on track, maybe 95% better on the first surgery, the right thumb, and 85% on the more recent surgery, the left thumb. That’s good for now, she can finish the recovery on her own. We don’t need to see the doctor again. Good news.
We drove in to Port Aransas. We weren’t there to see the hurricane wreckage, we were there to go to the Birding Center. Remember the boardwalk? There is about 40 feet of it left before the big gap.
The good news is that even though man-made structures have been destroyed, there is still plenty of wildlife there.
We were wondering where the big gators had gone during the hurricane. At least one of them is still here.
We just drove through the edge of Port Aransas to get to the Birding Center. There were a lot of buildings still standing, but a lot of them look like the nice new gas station we used to stop at.
That won’t be back open for a while.
