But not for long. We got home from Corpus Christi last Thursday. A little time to catch up and re-provision, and we’re headed off in the motorhome to Kissimmee, Florida for the gymnastics Junior Olympics.
That’s why our house is divided. We were living in the motorhome, but now we’re living in our house, but only for four days. We didn’t want to move everything twice, so we’ve left as much in the motorhome as we can, but still living, sleeping, and cooking in the house. Of course, the result of that decision, is that about ten times a day we reach for something and it’s not in the house, it’s in the motorhome. I need to print something. Oops, carry the computer out to the motorhome because that’s where the printer is. How about a bite of almonds for a snack. Oops, they’re in the bus. Oh no, we’re out of bottled water in the fridge….

ReplyDeleteWe,Jan and I, often discussed what to do if we ever felt the need to have a house and motorhome at the same time. We never did. But we came up with the idea that if it was plugged in and nearby we would have both printers on wifi. There would be one set of clothes for the Coach and for the home. Food would be in tightly closed containers in both places. Fridge in house would be unplugged. Today you could do that with the house fridge and be hooked up to the internet to turn it back on before you got to the home place. So much stuff you could arrange at home and even the couch you could control with your cellphone. Would require some managing at first but you could get comfortable with planning and remembering. There would be the problem as we age...remembering. I have the thermostat fully adjustable and able to monitor operation from anyplace in the word via my Cell. When we drove up to Newport,RI last June I could tell you in a moments notice what was happening in the house for temp and could adjust it to lower or higher degrees. We live in wonderful times Steve. Have a good trip. Chris
