This RV Resort.
Here is what it looks like on Google Earth.
It looks like Google Earth has it still under construction. It would be easier to visualize if it was full of motorhomes. I should have a drone so I could send an aerial view of how it looks now.
The RV sites are set up in clusters, each cluster having a concrete central meeting/sitting place. Each site has a strip of asphalt leading in, with a cement pad. Cement walking trails connect everything together from the middle. Not the way you’d normally expect an RV park to be laid out.
We asked, and were told that this used to be a display lot for a sales room, showcasing upscale big rigs. I guess this would be a good way to let customers get the feel of each coach with everything set up and plugged in.
It’s in an odd place though; an industrial part of town. It’s right next to the freeway. Lots of traffic noise except when the racetrack on the other side drowns out the freeway noise. If a person was starting from scratch, they probably wouldn’t choose this as a desirable location. I guess having the infrastructure already in place made it seem like a better idea. In fact, it must be a good idea because it’s full every night.
It’s a clean and orderly place. Its most redeeming quality though is that it’s very handy to Matt’s house.
American Widgeons.
And a Northern Shoveler.
