Judy and I spent yesterday, our actual anniversary, just like fifty years ago, hanging out together all day, having a drive. It was a cool drizzly day until just above Estes Park, in Rocky Mountain National Park, the rain turned to snow and started sticking to the roads. We finished the loop and headed back down into Estes. There was lunch in a café while ducks paddled in the pond outside. Elk. Deer. A stop at the goldsmith for a trinket, a drive down the Big Thompson Canyon, and a walk around the outdoor sculpture garden in Loveland in the light rain (until the big thunderclap). Then we finished the drive home. We didn’t take any pictures.
Except for this one in the restaurant.
It was a quiet romantic day.
Mother’s Day, Sunday, we spent the day at Becky’s with her family and Matt’s. The guys cooked an early dinner while the moms (and Tiegan) got manicure/pedicures.
We took pictures.
It was a fun loud day.
