We got the all-clear from the neck surgeon in February. It has been a month since then; a slow return to normal; baby steps. The pain is gone. The strength is coming back. My neck feels stable for the first time in a year. We are well on our way to a full recovery. I say “we” and “our” because Judy has been such a big part of this, it’s not just “my” recovery.
It’s not quite like it was before surgery. A little less mobility. I can turn my head from 10 to 2 instead of 9 to 3. I can look down, but not quite enough to see my feet. Problem? Not at all. I can use my shoulders to turn and look further when I need to. I can lean over as I look down.
It’s all good.
