Not a very long hike. On this trail.
I think it was spring. The weather was good. There was snow on the ground but the trail was clear until we got close to the lake. We wanted to go all the way down to the water, but we didn’t want to get our shoes wet, so we took them off and walked the rest of the way barefoot.
Barefoot in the snow….
It must have seemed to make more sense a few decades back when we did it.
