Don’t they have jobs? Or lives?
We had a really good day yesterday for the fourth consecutive day of birding. 9 new birds. We went up from 98 birds to 107……and lost ground! Our national ranking went from 128 to 147. This isn’t going to be easy.
Another good day today. Judy (and Annie and Henry) and I went to South Padre Island. We got another 12 new birds for the year. That would be good enough to put us on the leaderboard, except for all the people ahead of us who got more birds today as well. Maybe they’re all up north in the arctic blast and their doors froze shut today.
We’ll find out tomorrow morning after today’s sighting post. In the meantime, 119 birds for the year. We’re 30 birds ahead of last year’s pace.
