The dermatologist cut a big chunk out of my back for such a little spot that needed to be removed, but he got it all with the first excavation. It was a basal cell carcinoma and it is now gone. I’m stitched up and turned loose. We’re good to go again. Stitches come out in two weeks.
The last 10 days were a good shakedown cruise for the bus. It’s fine. Just before we left, we got a big 150,000 mile tune-up for the Jeep and it was a good shakedown cruise for that. A fluid leak developed while we were out, so back here in Edinburg we got a new radiator put in. The Jeep should be fine now. The dermatologist fixed me today, so I’m good to go. Judy didn’t get any attention, but she’s good enough already. We’re not going to schedule any more doctors’ visits before we get underway. Well, except for one last visit to the dentist in Corpus to get our teeth cleaned, but that’s just a teeth cleaning. What could possibly go wrong with that?
Tomorrow, 170 miles back to Gulf Waters on Mustang Island. Back to the beach and on the road again.
