Snow Day!

 

Here I am working.  I call the office and know what?  Those criminals in Denver declared a Snow Day and sent everyone home…….and didn’t tell me!

 

Well, as soon as I found out…..Snow Day for me too!  I jumped in the car and went to Paradise Pond to look at birds.  It was good.  Here we are, at the end of December, and I got three warbler species:  Yellow-rumped, Orange-crowned, and Wilson’s.  And a Ruby-crowned Kinglet.  Paradise Pond was swarming with Yellow-rumps.  I saw at least twenty.  Not bad for a Snow Day.

 

This afternoon, a fish fry outside at Jeff and Carol’s.  It got cool after dark though.  We’re packing up to leave.  We’re going south for the winter.
