Got to visit with the kids. Got to play with the grandkids. That was nice.
Got the keyboard fixed (notice how much more smoothly I'm typing now?). Got
lots of errands and some work done.
We went through the motorhome and picked out stuff we've been carrying just
in case we might need it, but had not touched in six months. We dropped it
all off at the shed. We're traveling a little neater and lighter now.
Left for Steamboat Springs. The shortest way there is up over Berthoud Pass
and through Granby. We continued east on I-70 to Wolcott instead, then
traveled north on Colorado highway 131 to Steamboat. No mountain passes on
Colorado 131.
Settled in a campground on the outskirts of Steamboat. Right on the Yampa
River. The water is low and clear. Maybe we'll get a chance to fish a
little. Every time we run across a reference to the Yampa River, we think
of our friends Bill and Marge. They used to go to the Yampa River to fish.
I don't think they've been up here lately. Well, here we are on the Yampa
River, and it sure is beautiful.
We'll be here a week or so. Checked out the client location. I'll have a
five-mile commute.
