An easy day’s drive; we’re at an RV Park named Bosque Birdwatcher’s RV Park in San Antonio, NM.

It’s only a big gravel parking lot with hookups, but what a great place to be.  Quail and Thrashers in the undergrowth.  Six miles from Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge.

 

The Snow Geese and Sandhill Cranes are here for the winter.

It’s only a big gravel parking lot with hookups, but what a great place to be.  Quail and Thrashers in the undergrowth.  Six miles from Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge.

We did it.  We drove out of Texas.  That means we’re more than halfway there!

An afternoon walk at Mesquilla Valley Bosque State Park just a few miles from the RV Park we’re at.  Brand new.  We’ve never seen it before.  Asked a ranger there when it opened.  2008….  I guess I haven’t been paying attention.
