Trailers don’t have backup lights. Did you know that?
Motorhomes of all sizes have backup lights. Motorhomes back up. Trailers back up. People backing up motorhomes have to see behind them when they back up. People backing up trailers have to see behind when they back up. People are just as likely to back up trailers in the dark as they are to back up motorhomes in the dark. Why don’t trailers have backup lights?
It has fancy things on the roof.
Spring and Fall they produce enough electricity to run their electric meter backwards during the day. Overnight they use electricity, but on average they produce 100% of what they need. Summer and Winter they use more than they produce, so overall for the year they make about 80 % of their own electricity.
In the back yard they have all the raspberries and concord grapes they can use for the table, and for homemade jelly and jam.
I waited too late in the season to take pictures of the fruit. It’s almost all been put up by now.

It’s a good place to be.
It was 80 degrees and calm today when I left Denver this afternoon. 35 miles later, at St Vrain State Park outside Longmont it was 60 degrees and windy. I think I drove through a front. The temperature continues to fall. Tonight’s low is projected to be 32 degrees.
We didn’t get out of here before cold weather hit.
Did the one-week follow-up today. The left eye was 20/40 before the surgery. Now, with the new lens, it’s 20/40. It didn’t get better, but it was not going to stay like it was. It was fading fast. Also, once it finishes settling down, (in a month) it can easily be corrected to 20/20 with eyeglasses or Lasik. With the cataract intact, that was not a possibility.
Meanwhile, I’m still adjusting. My brain doesn’t always like the signals my eyes are sending it yet, but most of the double vision from the surgery has gone away.
On the way north to Colorado, it was July, and I was going to write “Wow. Can you believe it’s August already?” as soon as it got to be August, but I got distracted and didn’t get to it. Then all of a sudden, it was September. I could have said something about that, but then the autumnal equinox happened, and I had that to disregard. So now, before it’s too late…
