Fifth-wheel trailers

 

This is what they usually look like.  Leaf spring suspension.  High off the ground.

 

But we saw this one and it looks completely different.

 

It looks like we do with our air suspension emptied when we’re parked.  Low down to the ground.  Too low for ride-height.

 

It’s not possible that it has air suspension is it?  A fifth-wheel trailer wouldn’t have an air compressor on board to pump it back up when it’s time to tow.  Or does it stay like that as a low-rider bumping down the highway when it’s being towed?
