The weather is fine. It’s a good spot for a little work/a little walking… ….and wondering “Why did the turtle cross the road?”
I have no idea.
But I do know that this guy didn’t want any help doing it.
We (very carefully) carried him across the road to the ditch he was aspiring to. He is a snapping turtle and know what? Snapping turtles have very flexible necks, and they’re very strong. Good thing my fingers were way at the back of the shell. Well, all our digits still intact, he’s on the other side of the road and we went walking on our way.
