Continuing Professional Education.

 

As Certified Public Accountants, we have an obligation to complete at least 80 hours of CPE over the course of every two year reporting period.  40 hours per year; that’s not much to ask.  A little over 3 hours per month.  Less than an hour per week.

 

The current two year reporting period ends December 31, 2013.  All over the country, CPAs are counting the days remaining in the year and comparing that to how many hours of CPE they have to complete each day or week between now and the end of the year to be in compliance with the CPE requirement.

 

Some of us are even studying on Saturdays…
