Tuesday

The 173rd Airborne Brigade Memorial Highway.  We take that every chance we get now.  It’s a nice two-lane backroad through the Hill Country and around San Antonio without a hint of traffic.  We ended the day at South Llano River State Park, right on schedule.  The park was closed until yesterday because of fire danger and smoke.  No damage to the park.  No trace of smoke.  It’s as charming as always.

Got Common Poorwills calling tonight.  That’s a warm summer evening’s bird.
